Does Beauty Really Lie Within?

Hey bloggers,
Sorry for such a late blog post, but in my defense I just got home from a church function: a Talent Show. Call it burning midnight oil, or just say that I stay up late. But I had to blog about this.
This talent show was the first talent show ever for my church, and it surely had its ups and downs. I'm not exactly sure some of the coordinators at my church know how to plan a great function, but they, in my opinion, generally do the best they can. Unfortunately, this is an exception. It was rather drastic, and during this talent show, there were many talent flops, dress mishaps, and modeling misconceptions on how to turn in the middle of the "runway". But, the worst part of it all, was that the head coordinator's child was the person that got 1st place. Call me biased or unfair, but I think that is incredibly wrong. There were no guidelines to this pageant/talent show/a useless function to broadcast uninteresting talents, but from a general standpoint, during the talent portion of these kind of events, the contestants are generally supposed to exploit their talent by themselves, but the person that won happened to use other people during his "so-called talent". All the while, other people are working hard to write monologues, raps, lyrics to songs, and express them to the best of their ability. But, in every pageant, there is always one person that thinks they should win. Or another person that doesn't like the person that one because they didn't deserve to win. But hey, I did admonish you on what this blog was going to be: my beacon of freedom of expression. Here I am, expressing, loud and clear. But thanks for reading about my prattles. It means a lot

With GREAT thanks,
Josh Bristow
